CIMG0038 OXDR - Oscar X-ray Defined Radio CIMG0044 I've been saving this old HP workstation hard drive case for years. Finally, it's a host for the latest and greatest! CIMG0049 Inside is a modified SDR1000, HPSDR Atlas motherboard with Ozy and Janus cards. The power supplies are 100% linear. CIMG0050 CIMG0053 The front panel is easily removed. I removed the 7805 regulator and the +/-15V switching convertor from the SDR1000 boards. These voltages now come directly from the main power supply. CIMG0056 All HPSDR, PS and Flex interconnects are internal to eliminate RFI susceptabilty. CIMG0060 Here is the power meter board. The OXDR drives a legal limit solid state amplifier and the power meter board monitors the amplifiers forward and reflected power. The results are shown on the PowerSDR console. CIMG0062 The blue box on the right is a low phase noise Microsonics TCXO. CIMG0070 The 12V fan is run on 5V. It draws the air out of the cabinet and is inaudible. CIMG0071 There are two status LEDS on the front. One for power and one is connected to Ozy's D9 pulse. CIMG0073 And it all worked the first time into the box. :)
